Error Code 120: Unable to perform this action. Tally.ERP 9 will restart now. Try again after restart.

Cause

If you are using a Silver or Gold license of Tally.ERP 9, this error might occur in the following scenarios:

● Your company data is in a shared location on the network, and users access the data using multiple Silver licenses or a Gold license.

● You are accessing the same company data using multiple instances of Tally.ERP 9.

● When accessing shared data, the computer is disconnected from the network. It may be disconnected due to the following reasons:

o The computer goes into sleep or hibernation mode.

o The computer is temporarily disconnected from the internet, and is reconnected later.

● While you are accessing company data in Tally.ERP 9, the same data is being rewritten or restored in another instance of Tally.ERP 9.

Solution

● Restart Tally.ERP 9 if your computer was disconnected from the network.

● Avoid rewriting or restoring your company data when you are accessing the data in another instance of Tally.ERP 9 .
