MAV Error while printing - due to faulty driver

Cause: This error is displayed while printing an invoice due to incompatible invoice dimensions or faulty printer driver.

Solution:

Go to Gateway of Tally > Accounts Info. > Voucher Type > Alter .

Select the required voucher type (sales, purchase, and so on) and set Print after saving voucher? to No .

Alternatively, you can delete tallycfg.TSF file which is available in the installation folder, or reinstall the printer driver.

2.

Memory Access Violation - due to incompatible font

Cause: The Memory Access Violation error appears when the Rupakara font is used in an incompatible operating system (Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows 7, and Windows Server 2008 R2).

Solution: Genuine windows users can download the patch file from the Microsoft website. Users without genuine windows can resolve this error by either of the following methods:

Rename the currency symbol to Rs. in the Company Alteration screen.

Print the document without currency symbol.

3.

Error in TDL. ‘Form:Printed Invoice’ Too small to fit!

Cause: This error occurs when the paper size does not fit the printing dimensions while printing any reports or invoices.

Solution: Select the appropriate paper size and print the required reports or invoices. To know how to select the paper size click here .

4.

Error in payroll - Failed to Create!!!

Cause: This error message appears while exporting payslip to PDF format from Multi Payslip Printing report. It is caused due to the presence of special characters in employee name field of employee master. When the name is copied from other application to Tally.ERP 9 a SPACE character is added at the end of the name.

Solution: Alter the employee master, and remove the special characters in field Name of Employee Alteration screen. Export the report after altering the employee master.

5.

Insufficient height to allocate - while printing a Rule 11 invoice

Cause: The error message appears while printing a Rule 11 invoice if the information in the invoice does not fit into a single page. Also, when margins are configured to leave extra space at the top of page leading to the information in the invoice not printing in a single page.

Solution: In case of information such as manufacturer/supplier's details in Rule 11 invoice not fitting into a single page while printing. Enable the option Print Multi Page Excise Invoice to continue printing into next page.

This option can also be used while configuring margins to leave extra space at the top of page. Since, the information to be printed in the invoice cannot be fitted in a single page the same can be spread across multiple pages.

6.

Configuration width is more than page width

Cause: This error occurs while printing sales vouchers using multi voucher printing option if the width configured under print configuration is greater than the page width.

Solution: In Tally.ERP 9, decrease the width in Printing Configuration.

1. Gateway of Tally >  F12 configuration > Printing > Sales Transactions > Sales Invoice.

2. In invoice Print Configuration screen, set the default Height of normal invoice(inches) and Width of normal invoice(inches) to less than the height and width of the page used for printing.  For example: If the width is mentioned as 7 decrease to 6.8 or 6.9.

3. Press Ctrl+A to accept and print.
