This error message appears when you try to extract data from Tally.ERP 9 to MS Excel through ODBC and Tally.ERP 9 was not opened in administrator mode (Run as administrator).
1. Close Tally.ERP 9 application.
2. Right click on tally.exe file, click Run as administrator as shown below:
3. Open MS Query from MS Excel and choose any one of the configured port.
4. Now you will be able to extract data from Tally.ERP 9 through ODBC.
