Statutory data is the data that is maintained by making the necessary configurations after company creation and recording transactions marked as statutory, in this case, excise transactions. Data can be maintained in Tally.ERP 9 has non statutory data. This data can be converted to a statutory data to file returns.
ABC company has maintained their data as non-statutory and now it is time to file the returns.
To rectify data and file returns
● Go to Gateway of Tally > Display > Statutory Reports > Excise Reports > Importer > Form-2
There are two sections in this form:
This section is sub-divided into three sections.
Included transactionIncluded transactions are those which are included under statutory data. The values of these transaction will be included while filing return.
Excluded transactionThe transactions included in this section will not be excluded from filing returns.
This section comprises of those transactions which have any errors. Error range from incorrect tax amount to incorrect party selected in the transaction.
