Keyboard Shortcuts for Faster Navigation

Be a power user of Tally.ERP 9. Tally.ERP 9 is extremely keyboard friendly and you can do everything by just using the keyboard. You can select menu items and buttons, and navigate between screens using keyboard shortcuts, faster.

How to Read and Use Keyboard Shortcuts on the Screen?

You can easily recognise keyboard shortcuts present on screen. In menus they are bold, and in buttons it is given in the button name. By pressing the required keyboard keys, you can select a menu option or a button.

1.     The keyboard shortcuts in the menus appear bold. To directly select any of the menu item, you can just press the respective key. For example, to go to Accounting Voucher Creation screen, you have to press V in the Gateway of Tally menu.

2.     Every button has the shortcut key included in the button name. The keyboard shortcut in the button shown below is F1 key (Function Key) and Select Cmp is the button name.

3.     If the keyboard shortcut is underlined, then you need to press Alt key with the mentioned key. For example, for the button shown below, the keyboard shortcut is Alt+F1.

4.     If the keyboard shortcut is double-underlined, then you need to press Ctrl key with the mentioned key. For example, for the button shown below, the keyboard shortcut is Ctrl+V.
