The licensing resolutions will arise under the following circumstances:
Not installed the Tally License Server
License Service was installed earlier but not configured to the existing license server
Promotional Rental License comes with multi user license capability and in order to utilize its complete features, the license has to be activated through a license server.
Select Option 1: Install and Start License Server in this machine
The Install and Start License Server screen appears
In the Tally License Server executable path field, enter the required License Server path
Accept to Install and start the License Server
The file TallyLicenseServer.exe has to be available in the path given above.
By default, the Tally.ERP 9 License Server uses port 9999.
Tally.ERP 9 will re-start to establish a connection with the License server and displays the Startup menu
Continue the activation process by selecting the appropriate option
In case the Tally License server had been installed but not configured to the existing License Server:
Select Option 2: Configure existing License Server
The Configure Existing License screen appears
In the Tally License Sever field, enter the Name/IP Address of the License Server.
By default, the Tally.ERP 9 License Server uses port 9999 to operate.
Tally.ERP 9 will re-start to establish a connection with the License server and displays the Startup menu
Continue the activation process by selecting the appropriate option
In case you wish to activate the Promotional Rental license in Single User mode:
Select Option 3: Continue activation in Single User mode
Tally.ERP 9 will re-start and continue with the activation process
Select the appropriate option to complete the activation process
