Quarterly Return - Form 2 (Excise for Importers)

 

A first stage dealer or a second stage dealer or Importer, as the case may be, is required to submit a return in the form as specified by notification or by the Board within fifteen days from the close of each quarter of a year to the Superintendent of Central Excise.

Go to Gateway of Tally>Display>Statutory Reports>Excise Reports>Dealer/Importer >Form – 2

In the Printing Form - 2 screen,

  •   Press Backspace and select the Excise Unit

  •  Specify the From and To date

  •  Enter Place and Date

  •   Form - 2 is divided into two sections

  •    The Issue/ Sales section and the Receipt / Purchase section.

To display details of all stock items, separate special excise duty column and purchase references, press F12: Configure and set the options as shown below:

Note:

  (i) If the option Show Separate Special Excise Duty Column is disabled, the special excise Duty amount will get added to basic excise duty amount and will display in Amount of Duty column.

 (ii)For invoices with more than one Stock item entries, Form - 2 captures the details of the Stock item with the maximum duty component value.

The description of Form – 2 is given below:

  1.   Name of the First Stage/Second Stage Dealer/Registered Importer: It displays the name of the company

  2.  Excise Registration Number: It displays the Excise Registration Number entered in the Excise RegistrationDetails screen of Statutory & Taxation features

  3. Address: It displays the address of your company specified in the Company Creation screen

  4.   Particulars of Invoice issued by First Stage / Second Stage Dealer

This section displays the list of excise sales.

  1. Invoice Number with Date: It displays the excise sales invoice number and date

  2. Purchase Invoice / Bill of Entry Number with Date: It displays the supplier invoice number and date entered in the corresponding excise purchase invoice

  3. Description of the Goods: It displays the list the stock items sold

  4. Central Excise Tariff Heading: It displays the HSN code predefined in the Tariff/VAT Commodity screen and tagged to the stock item selected in the invoice

  5. Quantity: It displays the total number of stock items sold

  6. Amount of Duty: It displays the total amount of Excise Duty passed on for the Stock Item

  7. Amount of Special Excise Duty: It displays the total amount of special excise duty passed on for the stock items

  8. Amount of Ed Cess: It displays the total amount of Education Cess passed on for the stock items

  9. Amount of Sec Ed Cess: It displays the total amount of Sec Education Cess passed on for the stock items

  10. Particulars of the Documents based on which the credit is passed on

This section lists the excise purchase details.

  • Invoice / Bill of Entry Number with Date: It displays the supplier invoice number and date

  • Name and Address of the First Stage /Second Stage Dealer/Manufacturer/Importer Depot: It displays details of First Stage /Second Stage Dealer provided in the excise purchase transactions

  • Name and Address of the Manufacturer / Importer: It displays the Manufacturer / Importer details provided in the excise purchase transactions

  • Description of the Goods: It displays the name of the stock item

  • Central Excise Tariff Heading: It displays the HSN code predefined in the Tariff/VAT Commodity screen and tagged to the stock item selected in the invoice

  • Quantity: It displays the total number of stock items purchased

  • Amount of Duty: It displays the total amount of Excise Duty paid for the Stock Item

  • Amount of Special Excise Duty: It displays the total amount of special excise duty paid for the stock items

  • Amount of Ed Cess: It displays the total amount of Education Cess paid for the stock items

  • Amount of Sec Ed Cess: It displays the total amount of Sec Education Cess paid for the stock items
