Creating a Sales Ledger (Bangladesh)

To create a Sales Ledger:

Go to Gateway of Tally > Accounts Info. > Ledgers > Create

1. Enter the Name of the Sales Ledger.

2. Select Sales Accounts as the group name in the Under field

3. Set Inventory values are affected to Yes (This field appears only in case of Accounts with Inventory companies)

4. Set the option Used In VAT Returns to Yes in order to display the VAT/Tax Class sub screen.

5. Select the VAT/Tax classification - Sales @ 15% from the list of VAT/Tax Class. The list consists of sales classifications applicable to Bangladesh.

6. Press Enter to return to the Sales Ledger creation screen.

7. Press Y or Enter to accept and save the screen.

Similarly, create a ledger for sale of services using Sales @ 15% – Services as the VAT/Tax Class.

Note: The sale of both goods and services are taxable at a fixed rate of 15%.
