During fist-time setup of synchronisation there is a possibility that the data to be transferred is large and users prefer to manually export and import data in order to speedup implementation. While retaining the manual options, this new capability will improve bulk data exchange without the need to export & import.
The exchange snapshot is initiated at the client, during the snapshot exchange Tally.ERP 9 will determine the point of last exchange and exchange the data between the client and server.
To start the exchange snapshot online follow the steps shown:
Note: It is essential to create the client rule and activate it on the server prior to commencing the exchange snapshot online
From the Gateway of Tally > Import of Data > Synchronisation > Exchange Snapshot Online
The Exchange Snapshot for selected Rule appears
Select the required rule from the List of Rules
On successfully exchanging the data between the client and the server an appropriate message is displayed in the client's calculator panel.
