Creating a Stock Item (Bangladesh)

 

To create a Stock Item:

Go to Gateway of Tally > Inventory Info. > Stock Items > Create

  1. Enter the Name of the stock item

  2. Select the group name in the Under field

  3. Select the unit of measurement of the stock item in the Units field

  4. Enter the Rate of Duty if any

  5. Enter the Rate of VAT for the stock item

  6. Set the option Is Supplementary Duty Applicable to Yes and press Enter key

  1. The list of Supplementary Duty classifications will be displayed. Select the required Supplementary Duty classification, for e.g., Supplementary Duty @ 65% – On Goods

  1. Press Enter to return to the stock item creation screen

  2. Enter the Opening Balance if any

  3. Accept the stock item master.

Note: The supplementary duty chargeable at prescribed rates on stock items can be predefined in the item master. To pre-define a supplementary duty classification set the option Is Supplementary Duty Applicable to Yes and select the required classification. However, Tally.ERP 9 also provides the flexibility to select the supplementary duty classification while invoicing for stock items in which this option is enabled.
