Large organisations use systems with high configurations for greater speed and efficiency in operations. Use of 64-bit operating systems of Windows is common as these handle large amounts of Random Access Memory (RAM) more effectively than a 32-bit system.
Prior to Release 4.5, Tally.ERP 9 - a 32-bit application could be installed on a 64-bit Operating System, using the Operating System layer - WOW64.
Note: WoW64 (Windows 32-bit on Windows 64-bit) is a subsystem of the Windows operating system, capable of running 32-bit applications on all 64-bit versions of Windows.
However, complete native capabilities of a 64-bit operating system will not be utilised.
To enable users reap benefits of Tally.ERP 9 on 64-bit Operating System, we now introduce Tally.ERP 9 as a native 64-bit application.
