Creating a Manufacturing Voucher

Manufacturing of Packed Drinking Water being a Process Industry, Manufacturing Journal is used to account the issue of raw materials to production floor and for the receipt of finished goods.

In case of discrete industries, Stock Journal can be used to account the issue of Raw materials to production floor and for the receipt of finished goods

Note: In Tally.ERP 9 user can create a Manufacturing Journal under Stock Journal or alter the exiting Stock Journal

 Alter the Stock Journal

Go to Gateway of Tally > Accounts Info. > Voucher Types > Alter > Stock Journal

  • Set the option Use as a Manufacturing Journal to Yes

 Manufacturing Journal

Go to Gateway of Tally > Inventory Vouchers > Alt +F7: Stock Journal

  1. Enter the Date as 5-4-2008.

  2. In Name of Product field select AquaPure – 1Ltr from the List of Items.

Tally.ERP 9 automatically updates the components required to manufacture AquaPure – 1Ltr as defined in BOM of finished goods under Components (Consumption) section.

  1. BOM Name: In this field the Bill of Material created for the item will be defaulted.

  2. In Quantity field enter 2,00,000 as the quantity manufactured.

Tally.ERP 9 automatically updates the Quantity, Rate and Amount of the components used in the manufacture of AquaPure – 1Ltr.

  1. Enter the Narration, if required.

 

  1. Press Enter to Accept and save.

Note: While Manufacturing if any By-Product or Co-Product or Scrap is produced, those details can now be captured in Manufacturing Journal.

By-Product/Co-Product or Scrap accounting in Manufacturing journal is provided in Tally.ERP 9 Release 3.0. For information on field description refer the topic - Manufacturing Journal Voucher

Similarly record the Manufacturing Journal to account the manufacture of AquaMini – 200 ml (10,000 U), AquaKing – 20 Ltr (6000 U) and AquaEase – 20Ltr (1000 U).
