To create a Sales ledger
Go to Gateway of Tally > Accounts Info > Ledger > Create
Enter the Name of the sales ledger
In the Under field, select the Sales Accounts from the List of Groups
Set Inventory values are affected to Yes
Set Used In VAT Returns to Yes
Select the required VAT/Tax Class, for e.g., Sales @ 10%
Press Enter to return to the sales ledger creation screen
Accept the sales ledger creation screen.
Note: It is recommended that separate Sales Ledgers be created for each of the sales related VAT/Tax classifications.
