Change Product Edition

Tally.ERP 9 provides an option to change the product edition from multi user to single user and vice versa under the paid rental mode.

To change the product edition

  1.  Go to Gateway of Tally > F12: Configure > Licensing > Change Product Edition

A screen displaying the terms of interchange between the Tally.ERP 9 editions appears as shown below:

  1. Click Yes to continue changing the product edition.

  2. Enter the Gateway Server and Port details in the Change Product Edition screen, and press Enter.

The Product Edition details, is displayed in the License & Services block of the Information Panel.

Note: The Edition field in the Change Product Edition screen displays Silver while changing the edition from Gold to Silver, and the Edition field displays Gold when changing from Silver to Gold.

The user may opt to change the product edition under the following scenarios:

1. Changing the product edition from Gold to Silver

When the present edition of Tally.ERP 9 is Gold under the paid rental license mode, the user can change it to Silver in the local machine directly.

In the Change Product Edition screen, press Enter to accept, and change the product edition to Silver.

2. Changing from Silver to Gold

When the present edition of Tally.ERP 9 is Silver under paid rental license mode, the user can change it to Gold in the local machine directly.

In the Change Product Edition screen, press Enter to accept, and change the product edition to Gold.
