To create a tax unit
Go to Gateway of Tally > Accounting Info > Statutory Info > Tax Unit > Create
Enter the Name.
Enter the Address.
Select the State from the List of States.
Enter the PIN code.
Enter the Telephone number.
Cursor will skip the Registered for field.
Enable Set/alter service tax details.
Enter the Service tax registration number in the Tax Unit Service Tax Details screen.
Select the Type of organisation from the List of Organisations.
Select the basis of computation in the Compute liability based on field, if applicable
Enable Set/alter category details, if required.
Press Enter.
The Tax Unit Creation screen appears as shown below:
Press Ctrl + A to save details.
