Regular Payment

On 30-04-2015, AtoZ Company paid ₹ 63,901.07 as service tax to the department from their State Bank of India account.

To record the payment transaction

1. Go to Gateway of Tally > Accounting Vouchers > F5: Payment

2. Click on S: Stat Payment.

3. Select Service Tax as the Tax Type.

4. Enter 1-4-2015 in the Period from field and 30-4-2015 in the To field.

5. Select Regular in the Type of Payment.

6. Press Enter.

7. Select State Bank of India in the Account field.

8. Select the service tax ledger under Particulars.

9. Enter the Amount as 63901.07.

10. Press Enter. The Tax Payment Details screen will appear.

    1. Enter 62039.87 in the Service tax field.

    2. Enter 1240.80 in the Education cess field.

    3. Enter 620.40 in the Secondary education cess field.

    4. Press Enter to save details.

11. Press Enter.

12. Enter the Bank Allocation details, as applicable.

13. Press Enter.

14. Enter Narration. if required.

15. Press Ctrl + A to save the invoice.
