You can surrender your license from the Control Centre under any one of the following circumstances:
● The computer with Tally.ERP 9 installed has crashed.
● The hard disk was formatted without surrendering the license.
● License was surrendered offline.
To surrender the license from the Control Centre
1. Press Ctrl+K from Gateway of Tally.
2. Log in to the Control Centre using the e-mail ID of the account/site administrator to view the Select Account screen.
3. Select the account required to view the Control Centre screen for the selected account.
4. Click L: Licensing and Configuration.
5. Click I: License Management to view the Licensing and Configuration screen.
6. Select the Site ID to be surrendered.
7. Set Surrender as the Status of the site ID. The Licensing and Configuration screen appears as shown below:
8. Press Enter to surrender the license.
On surrendering the license, delete the license file (Tally.lic) from the Tally.ERP 9 folder.
