Tally.ERP 9 Help file is structured in such a way that it provides easy navigation between topics and facilitates easy search.
The comprehensive Local Help covers basic and advanced operations. It is context-sensitive and extracts help on topics related to the current screen in Tally.ERP9.
To access the Local Help follow the steps shown:
Press Alt+H or click on H: Help from Tally.ERP 9
The Help Options screen appears
By default the Search in field displays Local Help and press Enter to continue. As Local help is Context sensitive, based on the screen from where you have clicked on Help, information about that screen will be displayed for reference.
Tally.ERP 9 displays the Local Help result (Tally.ERP 9 Reference Manual) only when the tallyerp9ref.chm file is available in the Tally.ERP 9 folder. The tallyerp9ref.chm is the Local help source file.
If the tallyerp9ref.chm file is not available in the Tally.ERP 9 folder and if you click on H:Help button and selected Local Help as the help option, then the Application displays the message as shown

Click border="0" /> Next button to navigate to the next topic.
Click Previous to navigate to the previous topic.
