Imported goods will be stored in Customs Bonded Warehouse and released only after paying the Customs duty. Generally, importers pay the customs duty and withdraw goods partially or wholly from the bonded warehouse as and when required.
While recording partial clearance of goods in an excise receipt note by marking the transaction as Customs Clearance Pending, inventory is not affected and hence, there wonβt be any actual movement of goods. It only marks the closure of document exchange in dealer unit.
