Creating Foreign Currency

To record imports from foreign country, create the relevant foreign currency.

Go to F11: Features > F1: Accounting Features

Set the option Allow Multi-Currency to Yes and accept the Accounting features screen.

Go to Gateway of Tally > Accounts Info. > Currencies > Create

  1. Enter the currency Symbol

  2. Enter the Formal Name for the currency symbol

  3. The Number of Decimal Places will be set to 2 which can be changed if required

  4. Set Show Amount in Millions to Yes or No as per requirement

  5. Set Is Symbol SUFFIXED to Amount to Yes

  6. Set Put a SPACE between Amount and Symbol to Yes

  7. The Decimal Places for Printing Amount in Words will be set 2 which can be changed if required

  1. Accept the Currency Creation screen.

Similarly, create the required foreign currency masters.
