Cause
This is caused due to the excel template not being compatible with 2016 version of MS Office when used in 64-bit operating system.
Solution
Use 32-bit operating system to export data to excel template in all versions of MS Office. However, in case of 64-bit operating system the excel template of Karnataka VAT can be used with 2008 version of MS Office.
