You can migrate TCP files using the Tally.ERP 9 Data Migration Tool. The files that are successfully migrated follow the same folder structure as that of the source.
To migrate TCP files from Tally 7.2 to Tally.ERP 9
1. Click Migrate TCP from Tally.ERP 9 Data Migration screen.
2. Select Yes to continue in the confirmation message Migrate TCP(s)? Yes or No. On migrating the TCP file from Tally 7.2 to Tally.ERP 9, a congratulatory message is displayed as shown below:
3. Press Enter to continue.
● The migrated TCP file is saved in the same folder as Tally 7.2 TCP file.
● The migrated TCP filename is suffixed with the digit 9 and appears in the same in the Tally.ini file, as shown below:
Note: During the migration process, only the TCP files mentioned in the Tally.ini file will be migrated from Tally 7.2 to Tally 9.
