Onscreen Tooltip feature has been provided for the developers from Tally.ERP9 Series A Release 4.6 onwards, who can identify the Field/ Report Names by placing the mouse pointer wherever required.
This behaviour will work only in Developer Mode which means that the Tally Application must have started with a Command Line Parameter /DevMode.
1. Right Click Tally.ERP9 icon.
2. Go to Properties .
3. Add /devmode in the Target path as shown below:
4. Apply the changes.
5. Open Tally.ERP9. It will open in developer mode as shown below:
6. As seen below, the Field Name is displayed as a Tooltip, when the cursor is pointed on the desired field within the Report.
7. In the next image, it can be seen that the Report Name is displayed as a Tooltip, when the cursor is not pointed on any of the fields within the Report.
