When Tally.Server 9 is installed in the Server machine, Tally.Server Monitor application will also get installed. However, the administrator may require to use the monitor frequently in his own machine, or a machine which can be accessed easily. Hence, the Tally.Server Monitor application can be installed separately on a different machine where the administrator can access it frequently.
To install Tally.Server
● Double-click on the install.exe icon in the download folder of Tally.Server 9.
Follow the instructions displayed on your screen to proceed with the installation of Tally.Server 9.
1. The Choose and Configure the Tally.Server 9 Component(s) screen is displayed as shown.
2. Select Tally.Server Monitor only option. This will only install Tally.Server Monitor application.
3. Installation Directory : Tally.Server Monitor will be installed in a default path -
● C:\Program Files\Tally.Server9 , if a 32bit application is installed in a 32bit Operating System or 64bit application is installed in a 64bit Operating System.
● C:\Program Files(X86)\Tally.Server9 , if a 32bit application is installed in a 64bit Operating System.
4. Server Name/IP and Port (Tally.Server 9) : The license Server Name or IP and port number of Tally.Server 9 License Server should be entered here
5. Click Install.
6. To operate and manage the Tally Server service, check Launch Tally.Server Monitor , else uncheck it
7. Click Finish to complete the Installation procedure
When Tally.Server Monitor is launched, the Tally.NET User Login screen will appear:
Upon logging in, the Company View by Count screen will appear:
