This page contains the possible errors that you might encounter while importing PDF bank statements and their resolutions.

Tally.NET authentication failed. Please try again later

Cause

If your Tally.NET password has only numbers and doesn’t meet Tally’s password policy.

Resolution

Change your Tally.NET password to one that has both letters and numbers and meets the password policy, then log in again.

Unable to extract this statement’s transactions with enough accuracy to proceed

Cause

TallyPrime could not extract the transactions from the PDF with sufficient accuracy. To avoid importing unreliable data, the statement was not processed.

Resolution

Try uploading a statement from the same bank in a different format.
Alternatively, import the statement in Excel or CSV format from Alt+O (Import) > Bank Statement > select File Type as Excel.

The Bank Statement is ready for import, but some entries need to be reviewed. Review the highlighted entries and confirm the details to continue

Cause

If you are importing the bank statement without confirming the entries highlighted in red.

Resolution

  • If the entries are displayed under Entries with Exceptions, then you need to reject the statement as you cannot import such statements.
  • If the entries are displayed under Entries to Recheck, then
    • To view only such entries, press F6 (Entries to Recheck).
    • If all the transactions are correct, then select them and press F7 (Confirm Details).

Access Denied

Cause

If TallyPrime is installed directly in a drive (such as C:\, D:\, or E:\) instead of in a folder within the drive.

Resolution

Install or move TallyPrime to a folder on the drive, such as D:\TallyPrime. Then reopen the Bank Statement Preview and try importing the statement again.
