IRD Reports in Tally e-Billing
Tally e-Billing provides a range of IRD Reports to help you review your sales and purchase transactions, monitor the status of transactions reported to CBMS, track changes made in the system, and provide transaction data for audit and verification.
You can review recorded sales and sales returns in the Sales Materialised Report, which brings together voucher-level information such as bill number, customer details, taxable and tax amounts, CBMS synchronisation status, and the active or printed status of the voucher. You can view the underlying voucher details by drilling down into the report. Additionally, you can also export or print the report as required.
For statutory reporting, the IRD Registers provide separate Sales Register, Purchase Register, Sales Return Register, and Purchase Return Register reports. These registers present the relevant buyer or supplier, sales or purchase, return, export, taxable and exempt transaction details, along with CBMS synchronisation information where applicable. You can select the required period, drill down to voucher details, and print or export the registers in PDF or Excel format.
To track activities performed in the system, you can use the Audit Log to review actions recorded with their date, time, user, IP address, activity, and description of changes. The Audit Trail provides a transaction-level view for the selected period, along with the user name and IP address associated with each transaction. You can filter the Audit Trail by voucher type and drill down to the corresponding voucher details.
For audit and verification purposes, an IRD Auditor can use the IRD Auditor Database Viewer to review the masters and transactions recorded in Tally e-Billing, including sales and sales returns synchronised with CBMS. The auditor can select the required database table, run a query, and review the resulting data.
