Understanding Import Data from Excel
Before importing, you can explore how Excel import works—field behaviour, data types supported, mapping logic, and validation rules. This helps you decide whether to use TallyPrime’s Sample Excel Files or your own Excel structure.
Option A: Use Your Own Excel Files
Use this if you are already maintaining data in your own Excel format.
-
Map the columns in your Excel with the corresponding fields in TallyPrime using Mapping Templates.
-
Import your data without modifying your existing Excel format.
