Points to Remember

System & Access Requirements

1. Run TallyPrime in Administrator mode to avoid additional confirmation messages during license activation.
2. Ensure you have full access to the TallyPrime installation folder for all licensing activities.
3. Ensure the Tally Gateway Server is in Running status.

License & Account Readiness

1. Keep your Tally.NET ID (registered e‑mail and password) ready for all licensing activities.
2. Ensure access to the registered e‑mail account to receive licensing communication and reset the Tally.NET password, if required.
3. During reactivation, the license is automatically surrendered from the other system if it has not already been surrendered.

Network & Server Considerations

1. Keep the server computer (where the license is activated) powered on at all times.
2. Ensure the server system connects to the internet at least once every 30 days.
3. Add the required IP addresses, URLs, executable files, and ports to your firewall’s exception list for uninterrupted licensing.

Multiple Licenses & Sites

1. If you have multiple products (for example, TallyPrime, TallyPrime Developer, and TallyPrime Server), you can manage them as separate sites under a single license account.

Questions & Answers

Where can I check the details of my license after activation, reactivation, or renewal?

• Press F1 (Help) > Settings > Manage License. The Manage License screen displays the license details along with the validity.

I do not have access to my registered e-mail. How can I reset my password?

• You can register a new e-mail ID with the serial number of your license, if you wish to. Send us an e-mail at support@tallysolutions.com with the new e-mail ID and the existing e-mail ID. We will update the same and communicate to you. You can then use the updated e-mail ID to reset your password.
