Additionally, in your business, security of your data is certainly very important. Whether you are the only user for the data or have multiple users accessing the data, TallyPrime facilitates various security features that allow you to add additional security layers for your data.

Working with Company

Create company: To get started with TallyPrime, you need to first create your company to keep a record of all your day-to-day business transactions. To create the company, you need the company name and financial year information. You can enter all other details such as contact information, security, while creating the company or any time later.

Company features & security: Once you create your company in TallyPrime, you can enable the required options that suit your business preferences and get started with recording your business transactions. As your business grows you can enable other options, as per your need. All the company information and business transactions that you maintain in TallyPrime is safe. If you want to allow only certain individuals to access your company information, you can provide additional security by adding a username and password to access your business information.

Edit LogTallyPrime Release 2.1 onwards, while creating or altering a Company, you can enable Edit Log. Enabling the Edit Log feature ensures that all the activities transactions or masters such as creation, alteration, and deletion that may impact your Company data are tracked in the form of logs. You can disable Edit Log at any point in time, as needed. As a result, TallyPrime will stop tracking activities for transactions and masters. The creation of the logs for transactions and masters stops until you enable the feature again in the Company Alteration screen. Access company remotely: To stay connected to your business anytime anywhere – when you are travelling or meeting your clients at a location away from your office – you will need access to your company data. In TallyPrime, you can connect to your company and access the data without being physically present in your office. That means you can view the existing transactions, pass new transactions and view all your reports, by using the Remote Access feature in TallyPrime.

Group company: If you have more than one business and you are maintaining the details in separate companies in TallyPrime and want to assess the performance of all your companies, you can create a group company to effectively compare the performance. Thus, it becomes easy to measure the health of your business across companies. The consolidated data from a group company proves to be especially useful at the end of the financial year, where you can get a picture of the total income, profit, and so on.
