Bharat Connect for Business – FAQ

| Bharat Connect Overview |

Registration

You can use your registered GSTIN to verify your business and register on Bharat Connect directly through TallyPrime. To know more, click here.

Registration is required because, after registering on Bharat Connect, you can generate a B2B ID, a unique identifier that enables you to securely exchange invoices and payment details with your parties.

To register on the Bharat Connect platform, your business must be verified as valid and active. In TallyPrime, this verification is currently done using your existing GSTIN details.

The GST verification OTP is sent to the mobile number registered on the GST portal. This is essential to confirm business ownership during registration. If you cannot access this number, you will need to update it on the GST portal.

During registration, your GSTIN, PAN, mobile number, and e-mail ID are added to the platform. All this information is fully encrypted and securely stored in the Bharat Connect platform.

No. As per Bharat Connect guidelines, this is not supported. A B2B ID created during registration is linked to the specific application through which it is generated. Therefore, you cannot manage the transactions of that B2B ID from a different ERP software.

Search Businesses

You can search your parties B2B IDs using identifiers such as GSTIN, PAN, or mobile number.

Yes. You can share invoices and payments with any business registered on Bharat Connect, regardless of the accounting software they use.

Send Invoices

You can send invoices with vendors registered on the Bharat Connect platform. Simply create the voucher in TallyPrime as you normally do, and then send it directly with the respective vendors through TallyPrime. To know more, click here.

You can share invoices with comprehensive details, including e-way bills, e-invoices, export information, shipping details, and more.

In Bharat Connect, the invoice lifecycle begins when the supplier shares an invoice with the buyer. As a buyer, you need to accept the invoice and then share the payment details against it. The supplier reviews these details and accepts them. Once the full payment is received and acknowledged by the supplier, the invoice lifecycle is completed, and the invoice is moved to Closed Invoices.

Send Payments

If payment vouchers have already been created in your books, you can edit the voucher to add the Bharat Connect invoice reference. Once added, you can share these payments with your suppliers.

Supplier and Buyer – Status Actions

As a supplier, you can close an invoice once payment is received, write off invoices that are non-recoverable, or cancel an invoice if the order is cancelled.

On the Bharat Connect platform, you can cancel a rejected invoice to close its lifecycle. If you still want to share it with the buyer, you will need to create a new invoice with the correct details.

As a buyer, you can accept an invoice, after which payment details can be shared against it. You may return an invoice if you want the supplier to make corrections and resend it. You can also reject an invoice if the order is cancelled or the invoice does not match your records.
