e-Way Bill Rejected due to Pin-to-Pin distance errors

Cause

You may encounter the following errors, if the Pin-to-Pin distance is either more than or less than 10% of the Pin to Pin Distance as per Portal.

• Distance between the Pincodes is too high or low
• Invalid Approximate Distance
• The distance between the given pincodes are not available in the system
• The JSON value could not be converted to System.Nullable`1[System.Int32]. Path: $.Data.EwbDtls.Distance | LineNumber: 0 | BytePositionInLine: 1969

Resolution

Depending on your TallyPrime version, you can either leave the Pin-to-Pin distance blank for automatic calculation or calculate it on the portal.

For TallyPrime 5.1 & later

You can leave the Pin to Pin distance blank for the the portal to calculate and update it when the e-Way Bill is generated.

For TallyPrime 4.1 & later

You can also calculate the distance on portal.

1. In the Voucher Alteration screen, set Provide e-Way Bill details to Yes.
2. In the e-Way Bill Details screen, press Alt+L (Calculate Distance on Portal).

You will be redirected to the NIC website to calculate the distance.

For TallyPrime 4.0 & earlier

You have to check the distance between two Pincodes and then update the distance in TallyPrime.
