Unable to restore. There is some problem with Company data.
Cause 1: This error appears when the restore process starts but the backup file does not exist in the specified source path or cannot be opened for restore.
Resolution:
- Verify that the backup file exists in the selected source path.
- If the file is missing, select the correct backup location and restart the restore process.
Cause 2: This error appears when the connection to the source backup location is lost during the restore process. This usually happens in a multi-user environment when the company or backup folders are stored in a shared network location and the network connection gets interrupted.
Resolution:
-
Ensure that the network connection to the shared location is stable and accessible.
-
Verify that the shared folder is available and that you have the required read/write permissions.
-
Reconnect the mapped drive or re-establish the network path, if required.
Once the connection is restored, restart the restore process. If the issue persists, copy the backup file to a local drive and restore from the local path to avoid network interruptions.
