Unable to access the Restore Data Path to restore.

Cause 1: This error appears when you do not have Read permission for the path selected as the Restore Data Path.

 

Resolution:

Check and grant Read permission to the restore data path.

  • Locate the folder: Navigate to the Restore Data Path folder in the system.

  • Check permissions: Right-click the folder, select Properties, then go to the Security tab. Ensure the user account you are using has Read permissions.

  • Grant permissions: If the user doesn’t have Read permission, grant it and click OK.

  • Retry Backup: Try backup of the company again.

Cause 2: This error appears when the selected Restore Data Path is no longer available, such as when a pen drive, external hard disk, or network location is disconnected.

Resolution:

  1. Reconnect the external device to your system.
  2. If the restore path is on a network, ensure that the network connection is active and accessible.
  3. After restoring access to the path, retry the restore operation.
