Backup failed, as your Backup Data Path <path> does not have the required space.
This error appears when there is insufficient free storage at the location used for taking the backup:
Cause 1: The backup is to a local drive and the selected Backup Data Path does not have enough free space.
Cause 2: The TallyPrime installation folder does not have sufficient free space. If the backup is to TallyDrive, TallyPrime first creates a temporary local backup in the TallyPrime installation folder before uploading it.
Resolution:
Check the size of the company you are backing up, and ensure the backup data path has at least that much free storage.
- Check company data size.
- Find the folder where your company data is stored.
- Right-click the folder, select Properties, then go to the General tab. Note the company size under Size.
- Ensure that the same amount of storage space is available in your local storage or TallyDrive storage, depending on the backup data path.
