Creating Party Ledgers for Service Tax

To create a Party Ledger for Service Tax,

Go to Gateway of Tally > Accounts Info > Ledgers > Create

1. Enter the Name of ledger as Advertising Agency.

2. In the field Under select Sundry Creditors from the List of Groups.

3. Set Maintain Balances Bill by Bill to Yes. Enter the Default Credit Period, if any.

4. Skip Inventory values are affected field.

5. Set Is Service Tax Applicable to Yes.

6. Select the Type of Classification from the List of Classification.

7. Enter Mailing Details and Tax Information.

8. Enable Set/Alter Service Tax Details to Yes

9. In Service Tax Details screen enter Service Tax Registration details

10. Press Enter to accept and save.
