You can import vouchers from one company to another in Tally.ERP 9. This could be due to any of the following:
● Data corruption/loss
● For migration into a later release
● For data import from third party
To import vouchers
1. Go to Gateway of Tally > Import Data > Vouchers to view the Import Data screen.
2. Enter the name of the .xml file to be imported.
Note: If the .xml file is not located in the Tally.ERP 9 folder, then enter the path and the file name.
The Import Data screen appears as shown below:
3. Press Enter to import.
Note: To view the import log, open the file Tally.imp in the Tally.ERP 9 folder.
The imported data is now ready to be used.
