System Requirements for Installation of Tally.ERP 9 - 32-bit Application

To install Tally.ERP 9 32-bit application, the user needs to have administrator rights (Create, Write, Update, Modify and Delete permissions). Multilingual users must ensure that the operating system supports multiple languages. The Hardware requirements and Operating System required for a Client-Server environment and a standalone computer are as described below:

System Requirements for Tally.ERP 9 Silver Edition (Single User)

1. Hardware & Operating System Requirements

Processor	Intel Pentium IV Processor with 1.7-3.0 GHz/Dual Core Processor with 1.86-3.2 GHz/Core2 Duo Processor 1.86-3.6 GHz is the minimum recommended processor.
RAM	1 GB or more*
Hard Disk	150 MB Free Space to install the application. An HDD with sufficient disk space to handle the volume of available data.
Monitor Resolution	1024 x 768 or Higher*
Operating System	Windows 98/2000/ME/XP/Server 2003/Vista/Server 2008/Windows 7/Windows 8/Server 2012

*Tally.ERP 9 will work on lower configurations too; however, the aforesaid configurations are recommended.

System Requirements for Tally.ERP 9 Gold Edition (Multi User)

1. Hardware Requirements

*Tally.ERP 9 will work on lower configurations too; however, the aforesaid configurations are recommended.

Internet Requirements for Tally.ERP 9 Silver Edition (Single User)/ Gold Edition (Multi User) to use certain Features

i. Internet Connectivity - For Data Synchronisation, Remote Access and SMS

Internet Connectivity

Minimum speed for Broadband - 512KBps on Server and Client locations.
Minimum speed for Leased Line - 1MBps on Server and Client locations.

Note: For better user experience a bandwidth of 2MBps is recommended on Server and Client locations.

ii. Tally.NET Server- For Data Synchronisation, Remote Access and SMS

Tally.NET Server

This facility is provided under Tally.NET Subscription.

iii. Public IP - For Data Synchronisation through Direct IP

Public IP

Public IP on Server in case of Direct IP Synchronisation. (IP must be static).

Note: If user opts to Synchronise Data via Tally.NET Server, Public IP is not required on Server.
