Cause: The hostname might contain a special character, or there might be a problem in e-mail connectivity. Solution: ● Ensure that special characters (such as ‘_ ‘, ‘-’, ‘#’) are removed from the hostname. To get the hostname: o Go to Command Prompt . o Type <hostname>. o Press Enter . |

Bad To Address - while sending e-mails from Tally.ERP 9 |

Cause: Incorrect SMTP (Outgoing Mail Address) was entered in the email client. Solution: Ensure that the correct SMTP (Outgoing Mail Address) is specified in your e-mail client. For example , in Outlook mail: ● Open Outlook account > Tools > Accounts > Properties > Servers. ● Specify the correct SMTP address in the Outgoing Mail field. Enter the same SMTP address in Tally in the E-mail Server field while mailing the report. |

Mail server connection failure! |

Cause: o The port of the outgoing E-mail Server is being blocked by the Firewall in the system. o The e-mail request from Tally.ERP 9 is being forwarded to a wrong port. Solution: ● Exclude the outgoing e-mail server's port from the system Firewall and the external Firewall. ● Enable SSL in e-mail settings in Tally.ERP 9. o Go to Gateway of Tally > F12: Configure > E-Mailing . o Set Use SSL to Yes in the E-Mail Configuration screen. o Press Ctrl+A to accept. |
