Upgrading to Tally.ERP 9 Release 5.0 in a Multi-User Environment

In this topic you can learn how to upgrade from an older release of Tally.ERP 9 to the latest one in a multi-user environment.

To upgrade from an older release to Release 5.0

1. Install Tally.ERP 9 in a new folder.

2. Back up your existing data.

3. Surrender the old license.

4. Uninstall the license server.

5. Download Tally.ERP 9 Release 5.0 from Downloads page on the Tally website.

6. Install Tally.ERP 9 Release 5.0. Alter the Existing Tally.ERP 9 folder path, if required.

7. Reactivate the license in the new release.

8. Restore the backed up data.

9. Launch Tally.ERP 9 Release 5.0.
