In case state name is selected in the State field in 4.93 ledger master, the same is migrated to the new release as is, and corresponding transactions are not flagged as exceptions.
However, if the field State is set as Not Applicable, or if the state name is recorded manually as part of address, and not selected in the State field in 4.93 ledger master, the details are migrated as is and the state name is not updated in migrated data. In this case, the corresponding transactions are flagged as exceptions in migrated data. This happens as Tally.ERP 9 considers the state names selected in the given field of the ledger only. Therefore, it is advised to select the state name in the field State of ledger master, and not in the Address field.
