Resolving the exception Exempt notification number and notification serial Number not found

When you record a service tax transaction of exempt services and the notification details are not set in the masters, then this transaction will be in the uncertain transaction. This exception has to be resolved for this transaction to be considered for the calculation of the returns.

To resolve the exception Exempt notification number and notification serial number not found

1.    Go to Gateway of Tally > Display > Statutory Reports > Service Tax Reports.

2.    Click the category Exempt notification number and notification serial number not found.

3.    Drill-down to the party ledgers.

4.    Click S: Set notification no.

5.    Specify the notification number and serial number, as shown below:

6.    Press Ctrl+A to accept.
