The known gaps in Maharashtra VAT in Release 5.4 are listed in this topic.
● Action column left blank:
Once a transaction is deleted or cancelled in Tally.ERP 9, the information required for exporting to Action column is not available. Hence, this column is left blank. The department requires that the column be filled with D, to delete a transaction from the department server. This is useful only in case of businesses which are liable to file returns annually, and not periodically.
● Inclusive of Tax column is blank:
Tax and assessable value bifurcation is provided, as required by the department. Hence, Inclusive of Tax column is blank.
● Negative value in Other charges:
Negative value is supported in the template
● Not supported for returns form 232, 234, and 235:
Form 232 is composite return, which is not supported in Tally.ERP 9. Form 234 and Form 235 are currently out of scope.
● New templates are applicable only for the financial year 2016-17:
The template is introduced in the current year, and is effective from 1st April 2016.
● Not supported for Nil Returns:
Export of nil return is not supported in Tally.ERP 9. However, for the Maharashtra e-return template, you can enter the details manually in the Header sheet, enter 0 in sales and purchase annexure sheets, and generate nil returns from the template.
