Restoring Data Backup

You can restore the data of companies for which you haven taken a backup. The backup of the companies is stored in a single file, named TBK900.001, in the path given while taking the backup. While restoring the data, you will view list of companies along with the date and time of the backup.

Before you restore data, ensure that:

      The data is not very old or irrelevant data.

      Data is not from damaged media.

      You do not restore data in the same folder as the existing data, since it may overwrite the existing data.

To restore the data backup

1.     Go to Gateway of Tally > F3: Cmp Info > Restore to view the Restore Companies screen.

2.     Enter the Destination path - the location where data backup is to be restored.

3.     Enter the Source path, where data backup files of multiple companies are stored.

Note: The path specified can be on the same computer, on an external storage device, or on a storage device on the network.

4.     Select the required companies in Backup or Auto Backup, as shown below:

 

5.     Press Ctrl+A to restore the data backup.
