Why Does the Same Bank Transfer Change to NEFT/RTGS on re-accepting a transaction?

Cause

After upgrading to Release 5.4.5, on re-accepting a same bank transfer transaction recorded in the previous release, the transaction type changes to NEFT/RTGS.

Solution

      Select the bank name in the bank ledger and save.

      Alter the transaction and select the bank name in the bank allocation screen.

If the bank name selected in the bank ledger and the transaction are the same then it is treated as same bank transfer. Otherwise, it is treated as inter bank transfer.

For example, in the bank ledger if the bank name is selected as ICICI (India) and on recording the transaction, in the bank allocation screen if the bank name is selected as ICICI (India), then it is treated as same bank transfer. If any other bank is selected in bank allocation screen, then it is treated as interbank transfer.
