1. What are the benefits of TVU pack for Tally Partners?

9. I am a Tally Partner. I have a customer who purchased one Tally.ERP 9 Gold and 50 Tally.ERP 9 Silver licenses two years back. These Silver licenses are being used at 50 different locations. Now the customer wants to use TVU pack to operate Tally.ERP 9 on the cloud from all locations. What should I do? Should the customer pay again? What will happen to their 50 Silver licenses?

10. I am a Tally Associate Partner (AP). I have a customer with Tally.ERP 9 Gold license who needs to deploy Tally.ERP 9 on the cloud for 25 users. Can I do that?

11. I am a Sales Influencer. Will I get help from TallyCare when I am configuring TVU pack at my customers' place?

12. I am a Sales Influencer. Will my BM/KAM help me to engage with a customer who wants to use Tally.ERP 9 with TVU pack?

13. Products like TS Plus or Connect 21 inherently use RDP as their backbone technology to remove concurrency issues and they have lesser price than Tally.Server 9. When promoters of products like these find that TSPL has clear guidelines for using TVU packs, they will aggressively market their products, which will impact Tally.Server 9 sales. How are we going to tackle this?

14. If one partner does TSS renewal and another partner sells TVU pack, who owns the customer?

15. What will happen if customers have opted for cloud service from a third party? Are we converting those as TVU packs? Any impact on those users?

16. Till when can a customer avail the trial TVU facility for Tally.ERP 9 Gold license? What happens after the trial period is over?

17. Can a customer using Tally 7.2 avail TVU packs?

18. Customers in geographies other than India use certain features in Tally 7.2 that are not available in later releases. How do we cater to such requirements?

19. Can a customer rollback from TVU to the previous way of working?

20. Will existing Tally.Sever 9 customers get additional TVU packs during the trial period?

21. TVU pack may be required based on the financial year (1st Apr to 31st Mar), and want to capture the transaction within the financial year. How to record this?

Licensing & Technology

22. I am a Tally Partners who access customers' computer for support or Tally.ERP 9 implementation using applications like AnyDesk. Will these accesses be treated as TVU?

23. Will TVU pack behave differently if someone uses an unlicensed version of Windows 8 or Windows R2 (non-server editions) with an application called RDP Wrapper?

24. There is a possibility of IT vendors purchasing Tally.ERP 9 Gold license and providing TVU pack to business houses that need single user access. How will we track such cases if the IT vendor is not enlisted in our ecosystem? Can we track if the server gateway IP where the license is hosted is masked?

25. Currently, 80% of Tally Partners are not well versed in virtualisation technology usage. How will TSPL address this?

26. Do you see Tally.ERP 9 moving out of the category of desktop-based applications into a web application or a server-based application? If yes, how do we tackle threats like ransomware attack?

27. Can we recommend TVU pack for those facing performance issues in Remote Access or Synchronisation?

28. For troubleshooting TVU or data hosted on the cloud, is there an interface to TallyCare to identify TVU pack and credentials to assist?

29. By enabling TVU pack, can we say that the users' need to work on the server and clients on a VPN is addressed?

30. Customers use VPN connections on a server machine (not a cloud), and factories also connect and access Tally.ERP 9 from remote locations. Will TVU pack be applicable for such customers?

31. Customers use RDP within LAN and it works with or without an internet connection. Is TVU pack applicable for this setup?

32. Is it possible to give unlimited access for TVU?

33. Will the customer see any difference in the product during the trial period of TVU and the post-purchase period?

34. Customers bypass the Microsoft license and use RDP with Microsoft Azure. So how will we detect the use of TVU?

35. Customers are using RDP in the international market for the license installed in India. How will it get handled? Will the Indian/International TVU pack charges get applicable?

36. Customers use multiple instances of Tally.ERP 9 on a computer for different purposes like viewing a report or recording transactions. When using RDP will each instance be considered as TVU?

37. Government organisations use separate data servers. Will there be any security issues when they use TVU? Are we providing any note on security aspect to our customers?

38. If RDP gets disconnected will the TVU pack count get reduced?

39. Is it possible to host Tally.ERP9 on cloud?

40. I have 4 branch offices and users of all branches want to access the data centrally. Is it possible in Tally.ERP9?

41. I heard that that Tally is planning to launch its own Cloud Service. Any update on this?

42. Is it possible to store data on the cloud and access it in the Tally installed in a local server?

Commercials

43. Will the sale of TVU pack change the commercial/preferred Tally Partner to TVU pack partner?

44. Can an Associate Partner (AP), not a TVU pack priority partner, sell TVU packs?

45. Will a TVU pack purchase be considered post-trial or from the day of trial?

46. A customer buys multiple TVU packs in different months during the year. How is the TVU pack expiry date calculated?

47. A company with five locations (5 multi-users) is using RDP access. Currently, one multi-user is used, and the other four are idle. How should this be handled? There may be TSS expired packages too.

48. Will customers have an option to buy TVU packs and get it installed by their IT service provider?

49. Do we have an auto-pay option for TVU pack renewals similar to TSS?

Data Security

50. How do we handle data loss issues for TVU in case the customer data gets hacked or corrupted?

TSS Related

51. In cases where Tally.ERP 9 Silver license holders were using Remote Access for the usage of Tally.ERP 9 outside the office, they used to renew TSS to maintain Remote Access. With TVU pack, they will not renew TSS unless there are some relevant feature additions or enhancements in the product. How do we address TSS renewals in this situation?

52. If we were to enforce this especially with those customers who are using the application virtually, they may start choosing between TSS and TVU pack. TSS will only become a push comes to shove renewal. If we enforce TVU pack for those customers who are already using the application from a cloud/shared location, they may start choosing between TSS and TVU pack. How do we address TSS renewals in this situation?

Sales Process

53. Will we provide any assistance on the portal to the Partner on TVU pack prospects similar to Tally.Server 9?

54. What is LCP?

55. Are single user customers valid prospects for TVU packs?

56. As a partner, will I be able to create a TVU pack lead for my existing customers?

57. Customers have an option to select their TVU pack priority partner. It is similar to the preferred partner for online purchase.

58. When customers renew the converted licenses what percentage of renewal amount will partners get?

59. If customers change their partner will the new partner get 40% or 20% margin?

60. From a customer continuity point of view, can we link the TVU pack along with TSS renewal date? Two transactions will confuse the customers and will be challenging to handle, as the customer base is large. If these two are linked, renewal requests will come at one shot.

61. Will educational institutions have a separate commercial, as it will be difficult to pay this high an amount? Consider a case where there are 50 students. Then, 50 x 2700 will be a huge amount.

62. Will Tally Solutions Pvt Ltd provide something for the Partners for their own usage.

63. If customers purchase TVU packs in April, the partners get 40%. If the customers buy additional TVU packs in December, will the partners get 40% for four months or for a year? If it is only for four months, there are chances that the purchase of additional licenses get pushed to April.

64. Can a service lead by non-priority partner be assigned to a priority partner in a different state?

65. How does the renewal happen for TVU packs tagged to a serial number?

66. Can a customer approach TallyCare for TVU pack? How do I handle this process?

67. Once a customer places a request for upgrade of a single user (SU) license, when will the customer get a TVU pack?
