Data Sharing on FTP
You can download rectified
customer data via FTP site.
1.
Open
Internet Explorer.
2.
Enter
ftp://ftp9.tallysolutions.com/
in the address bar.
3.
Click
View and select Open FTP Site in Windows Explorer. Before you can
access the FTP server, you have to log in with a username and password
which is shared by our support executive through mail.
4.
FTP
site appears with rectified data folder/files uploaded by Tally support.
5.
Download
the data and save it.
Note:
FTP credentials shared to you will be valid for 15 days. If you try
to login after the 15th day, FTP credentials will not work. Contact
support@tallysolutions.com.
5.
Enter
the user name and password for the FTP site in the User Name and Password
Fields,Ā respectively.
6.
Select
the upload file type in the Format field.
7.
Enter
the upload file name in the Destination File field.
8.
Accept
the settings to upload the file.
Note:
In case of uploading a report, additional configuration fields are
available. Using these options you can add more information such as
voucher number, narration, bill wise details, etc., to the report.
Sometimes during interactions
with support executives, your company data may be required to analyse
and fix the issues. At such times, you are asked to upload your company
data in the FTP site.
To upload data
in the FTP site, follow the steps mentioned below

Open
Internet Explorer

Enter
ftp9.tallysolutions.com
in
the
Address bar
.
The following screen
appears:

Click
View
and select
Open
FTP Site in Windows Explorer
.
Before you can access
the
FTP server
, you have to
log in with a
username
and
password
which will be shared
by our support executive.
FTP
site
appears without any folders as shown below.
4.
4Copy
your
company data folder
and
paste in the above path.
Note:
In case the company is protected by a
username
and
password
in Tally.ERP
9, please send a mail with the username and password to support@tallysolutions.com
or reply to the mail asking you to upload the data with these credentials.
